Sales Executive – Australian Events Expo

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), requires an experienced and motivated Sales Executive to join the Australian Events Expo team in our Sydney Office. www.etf.com.au

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing relationships with your clients at all levels via telephone and face-to-face meetings. Your proactive approach and experience in customer contact and account management, along with your ability to identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities, will ensure your success in this exciting and challenging role.

The winning candidate will be responsible for all the activities that fuel your desire to be a successful sales person including;

  • Listening to your clients needs and working with your Event Management team to implement great ideas into our events
  • Reviewing and building on existing databases of previous exhibitors and researching new industry sectors
  • Prospecting and cold calling (yes cold calling…) in order to develop new business opportunities
  • Developing a great rapport to maintain existing exhibitor relationships
  • Knowing how and when to ask for the business
  • Reporting and tracking sales activity
  • Co-ordinating support staff

Key skills required:

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Solid negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Experience with Excel and Database Management Software an advantage
